Rachel Dickman

Rachel Dickman is the Founder and CEO of RMG Communications, an award-winning public-sector communications firm serving government agencies and mission-driven organizations across California and beyond. An Accredited in Public Relations (APR) practitioner, she is known for helping public leaders navigate complex issues with clarity, confidence, and measurable results.

Rachel advises executive teams and boards on high-stakes initiatives, including rate communications, digital accessibility compliance, crisis response, community engagement, and strategic positioning. Her approach blends research-driven strategy with creative execution, ensuring communications are transparent, defensible, and built to earn public trust.

Under her leadership, RMGโ€™s work has earned national, statewide, and regional recognition for excellence in public-sector communications.

Rachel also co-hosts the award-winning PRessing On in Public Relations podcast and regularly presents at national and statewide conferences. Having built her career inside local government, she understands the internal pressures public agencies face and brings that perspective to every client partnership.

She believes strong communication strengthens communities and elevates the profession.

Liselle is the Founder and CEO of DeGrave Communications and partners closely with RMG Communications to provide integrated, high-level communications counsel and execution for shared clients across California and beyond.

In addition to her client work, Liselle co-hosts the award-winning PRessing On in Public Relations podcast and co-authored a #1 Amazon new release on launching and growing a PR firm. Together, she and Rachel regularly present to national and statewide audiences on strategic communications, leadership development, and elevating the profession.

Public relations leader Robin Rockey, APR, brings nearly 20 years of diverse experience in communications and marketing to the table, including six years of award-winning government communications experience gained while serving as the Communications Manager (PIO) for the City of San Marcos and as the Public Information Specialist for South Coast Water District in Laguna Beach.

Robin understands the unique needs of public-sector clients, including the importance of providing accurate, timely information to residents, businesses and visitors. She specializes in developing multichannel communications and marketing campaigns and partnering with the media and community organizations to build positive momentum and support for projects and programs.

She honed her razor-sharp writing, editing and social media skills as Web and Social Media Editor at AAA Westways magazine, and while running the popular Go Southern California Instagram and Twitter accounts. As the founder and CEO of Rockspark Communications + Marketing, she seamlessly partners with our RMG team to collaborate with our clients and deliver strategies that are data-driven and results-focused.

Before RMG, she spent nearly a decade in-house at two Southern California water agencies, where she led high-profile community affairs and public policy initiatives. Her background spans graphic design, social media strategy, legislative communications, grant coordination, and large-scale special events โ€” giving her a deep understanding of how creative work supports broader agency goals.

Prior to joining RMG, Katlyn gained public-sector experience with the Town of Payson, Arizona, Parks and Recreation Department, where she assisted in coordinating and promoting community programs and events. She also served as a research assistant at Northern Arizona University, leading data collection and analysis related to university communications, and participated in NAU America Reads, supporting elementary literacy development.

In addition to his work at RMG, Son spent more than 20 years in-house at a large public water utility, where he oversaw communications and outreach initiatives requiring both creative excellence and deep institutional understanding. He is an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot and has received regional and statewide recognition for his contributions to public-sector communications.

Trent Dickman is an FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot and multimedia production specialist with more than 25 years of experience transforming complex information into visually compelling narratives. At RMG Communications, he leads aerial production and high-resolution imaging initiatives that help public agencies showcase infrastructure, innovation, and community impact from a dynamic perspective.

With a background in architectural surveying, 3D mapping, and Matterport 3D virtual tour capture, Trent brings a distinctive technical edge to multimedia storytelling. His expertise spans drone cinematography, immersive 360-degree environments, CAD visualization, and field coordination, allowing him to bridge technical precision with cinematic quality.

Through his work, Trent delivers integrated visual solutions that combine strategy, technology, and creative production to support public engagement and high-impact communications initiatives.
